Summary in English

Estraveller is Estravel's customer magazine with an ordinary circulation
of 11,000 copies. 9,500 copies of Estraveller are sent by direct mail
to Estravel's loyal customers, the Estravel Kuldkaart (Gold card) owners,
and partners, and the rest is distributed through Estravel's sales offices.
Estraveller contains material about destinations, many facets of Estravel
and the services and products offered as well as travel stories by our
clients. In 2001 six issues of Estraveller has been published, all of
them full colour 100 pages.
| Cover Story: Why should you travel to the beach to
escape the grey and slushy Estonian weather? You'd better enjoy a
real white winter at a ski resort in Finland, Austria or France. |
 |
 |
Austrian Alpes: Tiina Kipper from Alpiexpress, travel
agency specialising in ski travel, tells Estraveller's readers why
Austrian slopes attract more and more Estonians every year. |
| Lapland: Known earlier only as home of Santa Claus,
Lapland is becoming more and more popular among Estonian alpine skiers.
There are 29 international ski centres in Finland and 14 of them are
situated in Lapland. |
 |
 |
Ukraine: The Crimea and the Black Sea used to be very
popular domestic destinations in USSR. In spite of all present-day
difficulties - visa formalities, bad road conditions, unfriendly traffic
militia and lack of proper service, Tõnu Ojala, editor of the Estonian
monthly technical magazine Tehnikamaailm, made a nostalgic car tour
of Ukraine and was extremely satisfied. |
| Kenya: Jüri Toomel, Estravel's marketing director,
revisited Kenya and enjoyed superb game drives at Samburu and Buffalo
Springs National Reserves as well as sunbathing at Nyali Beach next
to Mombasa. |
 |
 |
Ireland: Kaja Malts recalls her holiday in Ireland.
"It is green all over," she says, "but you should not go out without
an umbrella, because it rains practically every day." |
| Cruise: Estraveller's cruise writer Timo Kauppinen
tested Carnival Cruises on the Caribbean Sea. Says Kauppinen: "Cruise
is a real fun, and Carnival Cruise Lines is one of the best." |
 |
 |
Canada: It is a mixture of several cultures - British,
French, Indian, Scandinavian and others. "Compared to Canada, Estonia
is a country with very dense population," says Estraveller's travel
writer Markku Marttinen, having visited several parts of Canada during
his three weeks tour. |
| Italy: Hanna Miller is very fond of both Italy and
art, and therefore combined her beach holiday with touring North-Italian
art cities. Ravenna, Bologne, Florence and Venice are all only a short
distance away from Riccione, a small sea resort where she stayed. |
 |
 |
Car Rent: "If you want to see many sights within a
short period of time, or want to move quickly and easily from one
place to another during your business trip, then renting a car is
the best solution," says Eero Treumann from Avis. |
| Conference: Silja Line offers superb conference
facilities on its ferries. During a floating conference both business
and fun can be successfully combined. |
