Kempinski chain moves into Lithuania
The opening of the first Kempinski Hotel in the Baltic States, Kempinski Cathedral

New train takes passengers from Vilnius airport to Vilnius train station
The beginning of October saw the opening of the railway track that connects international Vilnius airport and Vilnius train station. The 4-kilometre distance is covered by train in about 7 minutes and the price of the ticket is just over 0.50 EUR. Going by train is the fastest way to get from the airport to the city. Vilnius airport is the only airport in the Baltic States with a rail connection. The modern train, which is scheduled to depart every 40 minutes, has 93 seats, is air-conditioned, and is equipped with video cameras for security. The first train leaves from Vilnius railway station at 05:00 am, the last train from Vilnius airport will leave at 00:48.
