Estravel is expanding: a travel goods store is now officially open in the heart of Tallinn’s Old Town
On November 25, the largest and oldest flight and hotel booking agency Estravel opened a travel goods store in Tallinn’s Old Town. As of May 2018, the shop has operated as an e-store reisikaubad.ee only and has received the “Secure shopping” trust mark from the Estonian E-Commerce Association. Now it has transformed into a physical shop with a new concept.
The new store focuses on selling quality suitcases which are the most popular product in the online store Reisikaubad.ee. In addition to the proven and well-known brands, such as Samsonite, the store presents two new and interesting brands Echolac and Conwood distributed in Estonia only by Estravel. What is more, you can find here popular theft-proof backpacks from XD Design, as well as other necessary products for travelling: neck pillows, suitcases, travel books and much more.Matthias Kreisman, the head of the Reisikaubad.ee and the Estravel’s e-commerce, said that the idea of opening a physical store emerged from the customer feedback: “As soon as we launched reisikaubad.ee online shop, customers began asking if they could take a look at our products and try them first. Consequently, we put on display some of our suitcases in Estravel offices in Tallinn. Products became popular and we had to replenish the stocks every day. The next logical step was to open a physical store,” explained Kreisman.
“As the travel shop is located by the main Estravel’s office in the Old Town, so you can fully prepare for a trip and buy everything you need in one place. Estravel Gold Card bonus points can also be redeemed to buy travel goods,” said Kreisman.Aivo Takis, Member of Estravel Management Board, said that the opening of the travel goods store is an important step in the development of Estravel: “As a customer-oriented company, we want and have to offer everything they want to buy from us. If it is a quality suitcase at a good price, we will definitely offer it. If tomorrow there is a demand for other goods or services, we will present them as well.”
